Amanda Cummings, who goes by her middle name, Sarah, is the daughter of Roland Cummings and one of the victims of the Cult of the Black Goat. She was part of the summoning that trapped The Entity in the book that was then, later, sent onto the previous address of Roland Cummings which was Arthur Lester's address at the time.

History[]
Amanda was part of a cult that performed a ritual at 58 Pelican Lane. From a newspaper dated ten years before Arthur and John start looking into this:
Amanda Cummings, reported missing since July 17th, was found walking north of the city in the Pelican Lane area, local authorities say she refused to talk… police report filed… [...] …Police chose not to speculate but heavily implied she was held captive …was found with another girl who was unnamed… [1]
She returned to the family home, 86 Town Lane to find that her mother was dead and her father had gone missing, likely to Canada. She then moved to Harper's Hill and moved into 288 Pratt Parkway before discovering and spending time on The Island. She left a note for "A", later discovered to be Anna Stanczyk, explaining that the Summoning failed and instead of Shub-Niggurath, they summoned The King In Yellow.
After spending time on The Island, Amanda is later killed in her apartment in Harper's Hill. According to the local newspapers, her killer is a homeless man named Christopher Ryan Evans[2]. When John and Arthur view the memory of Amanda's death, they see (presumably) Christopher killing her by driving his fingers into her neck and face, likely due to the mental manipulation of the King in Yellow.[3]
